Monthly Archives: February 2010

I love to travel! I really do. I haven’t gotten to travel much in my life. In fact, I have never been out of the country or even visited D.C. or NYC. Crazy, right? Well, I am hoping that I am able to travel a lot more in 2010. Will and I have this goal that we want to pick specific places to visit, then book shoots in those areas so we can pay our way. Isn’t it lovely?!? I think it is brilliant. I think Will came up with it. :)

Here are a few places I would love to visit this year:

I know it’s probably impossible for all of these trips to happen. However, these are all definitely on my list of places to go. :)

I get to go here this year for sure because of some awesome friends! You know who you are and I love you! :))

I checked my etsy today and saw this photo in my feedback…

I don’t know a lot about this adorable girl or else I would link her. I know it said on her profile that she is a photographer. She sent me this photo of her wearing the headband she bought from me. How cute is she in it?? :) It definitely made my day.

Well kids, I have had a wonderful day and an even better night talking with some friends over dinner. I think it’s time for me to call it a night and start fresh tomorrow. How was your day??

I recently took photos for a friend of mine who is expecting. I hadn’t seen her since before her pregnancy. Needless to say, things had changed a bit in her appearance. Here are a few of the photos that I gave her:

And then some funny ones…

This was so much fun! I love this girl bunches and can’t wait to see the pretty baby daughter she will have. :)

What all have you been doing lately?

p.s. DON’T FORGET!! Today is the last day to RSVP to my birthday party invite. It closes at 5pm. Email me at erinsundayphoto@gmail.com if you plan on going.

So, every year I celebrate my birthday. Usually, that celebration involves getting a few cards, maybe a tiny bit of money, and having numerous people tell me that classic, “Happy Birthday!!” This year, I want to try something different. BUT I need your help!

I am turning 25 and so I want a party. A big one. Ok, maybe not that big… but loads of fun! I have put out an open invitation; however, I now want to close it up so I can start planning for a specific number. I don’t expect that everyone I want to be there will actually go. There are lots of reasons why someone might not want to go and, of course, there are people who can’t go. Below is the info on the party. If you want to go after going through everything, email me at erinsundayphoto@gmail.com to let me know. I know I asked some of you to do this before but I need you to do it again… at this email address. Please and thank you. :) Ok, so enough fluff. Here is the info…

WHO: You hopefully! There will be people from all different groups of my friends so it will be fun to mingle and make new friends.

WHERE: Springfield, MO (location will be announced to only those attending)

WHEN: March 6, 2010 from 7-10pm

WHAT: ALICE IN WONDERLAND INSPIRED COSTUME PARTY!!! Before you get freaked out about trying to figure out what character you need to be, please realize that you don’t have to be a character. I want everyone to be able to figure out a costume without having to buy much, if anything.

So, let me elaborate a little and show you some ideas or inspiration. Every story has its main characters. The ones that stick out and give a meaning to the account being told. However, if you have an imagination, you realize that the story can be 3-dimmensional in the fact that there are thousands of other characters in the story that aren’t even being brought to the surface. That the scene described through the text is just one side of an amazingly fun world. You begin to imagine what these other characters are like. Which ones are mean and which are nice. What they look like or what they could add to the story. Maybe they even have their own story to tell…

Why am I going on about this? Because, that is what I want you to take into consideration when figuring out your costume for my party. I want you to dress as a character… one of your own. Take bits of this wonderful story and let it inspire you to make a costume that brings life to the characters that are oft forgotten or even ones that have yet to be created! I guess it is more of a “WE’RE ALL MAD HERE” theme more than just a general Alice theme. I can guarantee you can do this with just grabbing pieces from your wardrobe and adding items from your home. If you want to go out and buy stuff, have fun… but you definitely don’t have to. :)

Here are some photos I found of different interpretations of the main characters of Alice in Wonderland. Feel free to let these inspire you. :)

So, there are some images I pulled to try to help you with some ideas. (I want those animal masks!!) I want everyone to get really excited about this! And keep in mind, there will be a photo booth style set-up! :))

I am also planning on seeing this movie sometime that weekend. It comes out on my birthday!!!

That is all of the info I can really give right now. I don’t want to get into decoration talk and all of that. Please email me at erinsundayphoto@gmail.com if you have any questions or want to go. I am closing the open invitation on Monday, March 1 at 5pm. Thanks so much for reading! Let me know if you have any suggestions or ideas for the party, whether it be decorations, party favors, etc. :))

Hey everyone! Please go check out my friend’s, Vivianna, blog. I’m featured there today! :)

She is one of my close friends and I love her oodles and oodles! I am so grateful that she featured me.

Oh! Also, check out this lovely giveaway but the most adorable girl, Laura!

So, how have you all been? I have missed you. I will be back tonight. Promise, promise! (No, I really mean it this time!)

Based on the look of all these photo booth photos, I have to say my life is pretty grand. :) I am off now to go to the first of three get togethers that I have been invited to tonight. This never happens so I must say, I have a feeling it will be a really fun evening! What are all of you planning for this Saturday night?

So, I think I have come to the realization that I suck at blogging. ha! I at least don’t consider it a priority like I assume I would have to in order to fit it in most days. I love to blog but life has just gotten too busy lately. I am going to try harder at being around more, though. I hope you all will still read. I love you all and don’t want to lose touch.

Anyway, I have a new fortune for you all this week! I titled it, “What fortune cookie?” ;p

If you can’t read the fortune, it says, “You will take a chance in something in near future.”

I kind of feel jipped on this one. I mean, I take chances all the time on stuff. Come oooooooooon!

Anyway, I love the idea of fortunes. I think they are cute, even though I am not a huge fan of the cookies.

So, I am off to head to my bed where I will edit photos until I pass out. What fun things are you all doing tonight??

So, I just wanted to stop by and share a few photos of Amy that I took this evening. Not all would be considered favorites of mine from this shoot, but I thought I would share anyway. Can you guess which one I am in love with?!? :)

I cannot wait to edit the rest of the photos from this fun time, but I must sleep a while. Stay tuned for I have lots more to show you! :)
